The United Party (formerly the National United Party) was a third party in the United States that was created in order to help break the two-party system and is broadly big tent in ideology. Governor of Concord, Gears Braixen formed the party as a coallition, which peaked at a total of 12 members before going inactive and later shut down.[1]
The Party was then later revived in 2026 by chair of the Green Party, Thomas Duberry as the "United Party". United States Senator, Brandon Bennet and Speaker of the House Eli Goldstein both defected to the party after its creation. In it's Manifesto, the party described itself as "Anti-Extremist" and "Social Libertarian".
The Party was the first one to be recognized in the Sim history other than the Republicans and the Democrats, gaining formal FEC registration in 2025 after reaching over 12 full members.
The Party would later change it's ideology to a big tent which included plenty of progressives, moderates and even some conservatives, all which worked together within the party.
On 2029, a big decline surged in the party with multiple Party members leaving, including most notably President Gears Braixen and Chair Brandon Bennett, followed by many others, under the Frank Ernest administration it was decided that it would be better to consolidate a block of left-wing members who didn't felt at home on the Democratic Party nor the Republican Party, the block ended up consolidating under Finn Merchant and the Socal Democratic Party, due to the merge all Unity members were put into the new party although multiple defections are expected to happen.
