Presidential primaries and caucuses were organized by the Democratic Party to select the delegates to the 2028 Democratic National Convention, to determine the party's nominee for president in the 2028 United States presidential election. The elections took in all 8 U.S. states and was held between February and June that year.

Incumbent President, Phil Reed took office after Martha Holley resigned due to time restraints. During his presidency he appointed Zach Fellman to the office of Vice President. Fellman resigned after less than a year, causing Speaker of the House, John Shake to take office. Shortly after declaring his bid, President Reed switched parties and joined the Republicans, causing the primary to become an open field.
