The 2024 United States presidential election were the 60th quadrennial U.S. presidential election. Incumbent one-term President Joe Biden declined to seek re-election, leaving the race open.
Democratic nominee Martha Holley defeated Republican Bennett Reed, maintaining the White House for the incumbent party.
Senate elections[]

All 6 seats in Senate Class 2 were up for election. Democrats controlled the majority in the Senate following the 2022 United States Senate elections, but will have to defend 3 seats in 2024. In the Senate elections.
The Democratic Party held control of the chamber, Democrats held 3 seats and Republicans held 2 seats, with one of the Republican held seats flipping to an independent, however, the independent choose to caucus with the Republican Party, maintaining the control of the chamber the same as previously.
House of Representatives elections[]

All 24 voting seats in the United States House of Representatives were up for election. Republicans held a majority in the House of Representatives following the 2022 United States House of Representatives elections.
After the elections, the Democratic Party gained control of the chamber despite the outgoing president being a Democrat, Democrats gained 1 seat while Republicans lost 3 seats, aditionally, independent and third party candidates had strong performances, with 1 independent and 3 greens winning seats, all of them caucusing with the Democratic Party.

Elections were held for the governorships of four of the eight U.S. states.
After the elections, both parties maintained the same number of governorships, with the Republican Party flipping Appalachia and the Democratic Party flipping Amarillo, where each of them held 4 states.
